SEMA 2017: Sweet Street Rides

November 11, 2017 By Bryon Dorr Leave a Comment

SEMA 2017 Street Cars

The SEMA Show is the ultimate annual car show, and the largest custom car show in the world. It is all about the automotive aftermarket, in the MANY forms that takes. While I usually cover most of the show from an overland and off road perspective, which I of course did again and will write about soon, I wanted to show you the amazing on road rolling art that I spotted around the show this year.

If someone handed you the keys to any vehicle in this post, which you had to keep and enjoy the rest of your life, which would it be? I know that is an EXTREMELY hard question to answer, but for me it would probably have to be the Ringbrothers “ADRNLN” build below. That car would turn heads everywhere it goes, be street legal, be an absolute weapon on the track and would be hard pressed to ever look dated.
1971 De Tomaso Pantera “ADRNLN” by Ringbrothers:600 hp LS3, Custom Nike Skunkworks Interior Hennessey Venom F5: 1600 HP Twin-Turbo V8, 301 MPH Top Speed SuperLight-Coupe built by Bill Phillips: Aluminum Chassis, Aluminum Suspension, LS3 w/Getrag 6 Speed, 460hp & 2,600 lbs, 3yrs & 2,600 hrs to complete Ford GT Ken Block 1991 Ford Escort RS Cosworth Group A Rally Car 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR V2: Twin-turbo V8 putting out 1,400 Hp & 1,250 lb/ft to all four wheels eBay ’67 Mustang Fastback
The attention to detail on Singer Porsche builds is awe inspiring! Rick Dore ‘Illusion’: All aluminum body on a custom chassis with LS powerplant 1950 Studebaker Champion built by Gary Warner: 354 Hemi w/6-71 Supercharger, Chopped 4”, Suicide Doors, 9” Ford Rear-end
