REVIEW: The Grid Foam Roller

December 27, 2014 By Bryon Dorr 1 Comment

TriggerPoint 3

Trigger Point Performance Therapy GRID Foam Roller

MSRP: $39.99 (BUY NOW)

SPECS: 13″ x 5.5″ at 1.5 lbs

Self massage and a great workout rolled into one! I use this amazing little tool to get the kinks out of my back after long days on the overland trail, as well as the knots out of my hamstrings/glutes after running and other action sports. I broke my back a few years ago and it has never been the same. It tightens up fast, especially when I’m not in shape and been in a vehicle for a long period of time. The GRID Foam Roller gives me instant pain relief, and on my extremely tight overland travel budget saves me a ton of cash by not requiring the high cost of a massage therapist on a regular basis.

Their are three zones on the roller that simulate massage from the fingers, finger tips and the palm. These zones allow you to adjust the intensity of the massage to your comfort level. Besides basically getting a personal massage therapist where ever you go, you also get a workout tool that provides an amazing core workout (lots of great videos on this subject HERE). I’ve also found the GRID roller to be much more durable than other foam rollers that tend to crumble and break down, especially when dirty or exposed to sun for long periods of time.

TriggerPoint 2Trigger Point Performance offers a foam roller to fit everyones individual needs; the GRID 2.0 offers a longer surface to work with and the GRID Mini might be perfect for your travel needs. I love the size of the original GRID and gladly carry it on all my overland adventures.  If the original GRID just isn’t firm enough for you be sure to check out the new GRID X Roller, which promises an extremely intense massage.

TriggerPoint 4The GRID Roller works great on the bed/table in the EEXP, all you need is a flat firm surface.TriggerPoint 1(Disclaimer: The GRID Foam Roller was supplied to Exploring Elements for review consideration.)
