NEMO Ditto Wallet: Made For A Life Of Adventure

September 30, 2018 By Bryon Dorr Leave a Comment

Nemo Ditto Wallet

After over six years of hard use it is time to retire my well traveled wallet. This wallet was given to me at my very first Overland Expo in 2012, by the man himself Cam Brensinger , NEMO Equipment‘s founder. I’ve tried out a few other wallets over the years, but never for more than a week, before going back to my trusty NEMO Ditto wallet. Luckily for me, NEMO still makes this awesome product and I got my hands on a new orange one, because you know I like all things orange!

The Perfect Wallet

The NEMO Ditto wallet is just perfect for my needs. It is crazy durable, relatively compact in thickness and holds a ton of stuff. It has a clear licence window to hold my ID and a few pockets for credit cards, membership cards, loyalty cards and the like. In order to keep the cash game strong, it features a paper bill sleeve for all the Benjamins (Ha! Who am I kidding, I’m lucky if I have a fiver in there.) and a zippered coin pouch. The whole thing is held together with a clean Velcro closure on the outside, ensuring that none of those cards or Benjamins (Ha!) fall out inadvertently.

Made Of Scrap Materials

It’s not often that a good wallet is also helping the environment. The Ditto Wallet is made from repurposed NEMO tent samples and manufacturing rejects, as well as scrap sailcloth material from Sailcloth Technology. These materials make the wallet insanely durable, lightweight and thin.

New VS Old

There are also very few differences between my original Ditto wallet and the latest one. The exterior material is slightly different, but you’d expect that when the wallets are being made of repurposed materials. You’ll also notice that the NEMO logo is opposite of its original orientation on the tag. It’s orange of course, but otherwise these two wallets are identical.

Rarely The Same

Very rarely are two NEMO Ditto Wallets the same. The repurposed materials going into this wallet’s construction continually change. Not only do you get a well designed, good quality, durable and environmentally friendly wallet, you also get a nearly one of a kind product. The NEMO Ditto Wallet will set you back $29.95 (BUY NOW).

(Disclaimer: NEMO Equipment gave me the original silver Ditto Wallet at Overland Expo West 2012 and recently sent me the new orange replacement. Nothing was expected in return for these products, and nothing was provided besides the products.)
