Van Life Gets a Woman’s Touch

May 24, 2013 By Bryon Dorr 8 Comments

I snagged a good one:) My new girlfriend Sarah Blessington has joined me in the Sportsmobile full-time on the road. Van life has just gotten sooo much better!

Sarah’s dog MOMO, or “Mo Money Moses”, is the best dog ever! If I wasn’t so allergic she would be living the van life as well. For now she gets to hang with her doggie boyfriend Hazen in Grand Junction, CO.

Sarah and I met while I was doing the Gems & Brews Tour this winter in Colorado, as she is the Events Coordinator at Powderhorn Mtn Resort. She and her boyfriend at the time were great hosts to both the mountain and the local scene in Grand Junction. I found Sarah to be super fun and just a good person to be around, but kept things super professional as she was taken and just doing her job by showing me around town. A few weeks after my visit we started to chat online and she told me she had split with her boyfriend. After some amazing chats online and on the phone it was obvious that we had feelings for each other. Feelings grew as I kept up my travel schedule to Desert Rendezvous and the Santa Cruz Paddle Fest. I then high tailed it back to Grand Junction, CO to see what was up with this amazing woman. Turns out we work really well together, she was in a position to hit the road for a while and looking for adventure. So, after a quick 2 months in Grand Junction, CO she sold everything and moved into the van!

Sarah even sold her beloved Taco, which is now a Loki Gear company rig.

Before leaving Grand Junction Seth at Loki hooked us up with some sweet gear. Sarah of course looks cute as hell in hers.

Sarah hand makes these beautiful flower earrings & sells them for a $20+ donation on her new blog. It helps keep fuel in the tank:)

I think Sarah is enjoying the amazing places and adventures that van life offers so far:)
