While I’ve now been whitewater kayaking for twenty years (yep I’m getting old), I haven’t been to US Freestyle Team Trials event in many years. This year I so happened to find myself driving between Atlanta and Baltimore the same weekend that team trials was taking place at NOC.
Of course I had to stop, catch the action and catch up with so many of my friends from the paddling community. The level of freestyle kayaking in this country is truly impressive to behold, especially in the current crop of young rippers that are pushing the sport.
